Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discusses expansion of cooperation at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of Uzbekistan

On March 23, during his working visit to Uzbekistan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had business talks and meetings with representatives of the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.

At their meeting, Minnikhanov and Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov discussed the issues on the implementation of joint projects in detail.

During this working visit to Uzbekistan, certain agreements were also reached on the development of cooperation between the Nizhnekamsk municipal region of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the municipality of Chirchik (Republic of Uzbekistan); between the Kazan (Volga) Federal University and the Centre for Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan; between IED-holding and Uzbekneftegas; between the municipality of Innopolis and Bilim Tech Company on cooperation in the innovation sphere; between Innopolis Special Economic Zone and Directorate of Technological Park of Software Products and Information Technologies for the development of support measures for high-tech companies; between Innopolis University and Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and others.

In total, during this working visit, 20 different agreements and memorandums were signed between representatives of the delegation of Tatarstan and enterprises of Uzbekistan, confirming the agreements on the development of bilateral cooperation.
