Rustam Minnikhanov: Implementation of all planned federal and regional projects will continue in Tatarstan

On March 19, speaking at a traditional videoconference in the Government House of the republic with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipal regions of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that implementation of all planned federal and regional projects will continue in Tatarstan, and the relevant activities will be fully funded.

As Minnikhanov noted Russian President Vladimir Putin made a decision that all previously set strategic goals and national tasks for the period up to 2030 should be achieved. He said that payments on budget loans will be delayed, each constituent entity of the federation will be provided with a credit line, and the volume of infrastructure budget loans will be maintained and possibly increased.

“The Government of the republic and the heads of municipalities should organize the implementation of the tasks set by the country’s leadership,” Tatarstan President emphasized.

Under restrictions pressure from Western States on Russia, the country’s leadership is taking concrete steps to support citizens and economic sectors. On March 16, during the meeting on measures of socio-economic support for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, Putin announced a number of measures.

In particular, from April 1, for the purposes of social protection of citizens, mothers, children and support for families with children, payments for children aged from 8 to 16 who are brought up in low-income families will be introduced. Decisions on indexation of social benefits, including benefits and pensions, as well as wages in the government sector will be taken. Additional subsidies for soft loans to SMEs will also be provided.

In order to protect the consumer market, the task is to ensure availability and expand the range of essential goods, medicines and medical products, Minnikhanov said. He continued that exporters are instructed to send additional volumes of goods to the domestic market, the Government, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and heads of the regions are instructed to constantly monitor the situation on the markets.

Tatarstan President said that on March 14 he visited a number of industrial and commercial enterprises, namely the Tatkhimfarmpreparaty Pharmaceutical Company, the Mayskiy Greenhouse Complex, the X5 Retail Group and TMK Group distribution centres, and got acquainted with the business situation. All these organizations, which play an important role in providing citizens with essential goods, work steadily without interruption.

According to Minnikhanov, the Mayskiy is a model enterprise that withstands competition and delivers environmentally friendly products. «All this is produced in our republic», he emphasized.

Tatarstan President also noted the professional work of the distribution centers of X5 Retail Group and TMK Group. “Products are available, in sufficient volume,” he said and continued: “All these organizations play an important role in providing citizens with essential goods. They work steadily, without interruption.
