Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan monitors the prices on main essential goods

On 16 March speaking at a videoconference on issues of social and economic support of Russian entities held by the President of the country Vladimir Putin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan has organized a headquarters and developed a plan to provide stable development of economy and monitors the essential goods prices and their stock.

He underlined that there is a several months stock of essential products in the republic and there is a reserve fund of flour, sugar and medications.

Tatarstan President informed that transportation expenses of the agricultural companies which will take part in agriculture fairs to be held since 19 March in cities and regions of the republic will be subsidized from the local budget.

Speaking about the sowing campaign, Minnikhanov said that the farmers will be fully provided with seeds, fertilizers, technique and POL.

To support the systemic companies of the republic, he asked to speed up the programme of subsidized loans and development of new transport and logistics schemes. “With the aim of import replacement, we are asking to envisage the development of a mechanism of a rapid financing of projects and to establish an inter-regional cooperation. These issues are extremely important and we are expecting corresponding federal decisions. At our end we have developed a Regional marketing center which implements the tool of the suppliers search,” Minnikhanov told.

Tatarstan President also said there will be employment issues especially at a number of machine-building and car manufacturing enterprises. Thus the decrease of the production volume of the KAMAZ Automaker can reach up to 40 per cent and about 15 000 workers of the company will be idle until the spare parts supply issues are resolved “We request a federal support in resolution of this task”, Minnikhanov concluded.
