He stressed that a series of fibs and fakes, which have recently become numerous in the information field, are aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation, and an important task is to ensure stability and reduce social tension in the society.

The main issue of the meeting concerns measures to ensure the information security of executive authorities, local governments, enterprises and organizations of the republic.

“In order to destabilize the socio-political situation, unreliable information, including deliberately false reports of the threat of terrorist acts, is being spread. On the background of recent events there is a significant increase in information pressure on the population in Tatarstan.

The hostile forces continue to increase their efforts for information and psychological impact on individual, group and public consciousness. In general, the security situation of our information technology and telecommunication resources calls for timely and concrete measures. In the current situation our task is to adopt and immediately implement a comprehensive set of organizational and legal measures to ensure the stability of the system for the safe functioning of the social and economic spheres of the region,” Tatarstan President said.

Tatartsan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin, the Head of the Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan Igor Khvostikov and Director General of Tattelecom Telecommunication Company Ayrat Nurutdinov made reports on this topic.

In particular, Khayrullin said that the information resources of the republic have become frequently exposed to DDos-attacks (violation of availability of resources). He emphasized that the Ministry has stepped up the work on detecting DDoS-attacks on the databases of regional information systems. Today all security measures have been taken to prevent failures in the operation of websites in the republic.
