Tatarstan President gets acquainted with production of the Mayskiy Greenhouse Complex

On 14 March Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Head of Zelenodolsk region Mikhail Afanasyev and Director General of the Mayskiy Greenhouse Complex Ilshat Ganiyev looked around greenhouses growing berries, cucumbers, tomatoes and herbs and got acquainted with the work of the power supply center.

The Mayskiy is the leader in Russia in the yield of indoor vegetables with the total area of winter greenhouses of 35 hectares. With 862 employees, the complex produces 43 thousand tonnes of vegetables a year.

Ganiyev also told Minnikhanov that the complex has launched its own packaging production line with the capacity of 10m units a year and is developing its own system of biological protection which is in line with all international advanced standards.

He added that to supply fresh vegetables to residents of Kazan and nearby regions, the complex takes an active part in agricultural fairs.
