Rustam Minnikhanov has visited the Tatkhimfarmpreparaty Pharmaceutical Company

On 14 March during his visit to the Tatkhimfarmpreparaty Pharmaceutical Company in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was told that in 2021 the plant produced 85.6m packages of pills, 30.6m packages of ointments and liquid medications and 598 thousand packages of surgical suture materials. The company produces medications of main pharmaceutical spheres (cardio-vascular, neurological, antivirus and ophthalmological) and surgical suture materials.

Currently the company manufactures 131 medicinal products, 60 of which are included into Vital and Essential Drugs List and their prices are state regulated.

Telling the Tatarstan President about the current operation of the Company, its Director General Timur Khannanov said that the plant has a several months’ stock of raw materials, components and consumables but because of sanctions the plant has started establishment of new logistics chains. “Unfortunately we have some issues related to logistics but everything will be settled. Main raw materials are coming from China and India. We are planning to work as usual and can even possibly increase the production volume” – he said. 

Within the special exhibition, Minnikhanov was shown new pharmaceutical developments including  such import replacing drugs as Takrolimus and Felomika (used in transplantology) and Abitrateron and Mitotan (used in oncology)  and told about production of PPE and medical  probes. Residents of the Medical Industrial center also exhibited their produce such as analyzers, reagents and consumables for clinical analysis.

Tatarstan President gave an errand to heads of related ministries to submit proposals to local and federal levels about measures to support pharmaceutical producers and implementation of new projects.
