On 7 March Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a visit to the Kazan Bakery and Confectionary Factory and the Dairy Plant, which processes 576 tonnes of milk every day producing milk, yogurts, kefir, cream and other dairy products.
Speaking to workers of the plant, Minnikhanov said: “Our republic ranks first in production of all food goods and we are fully self-sufficient. We will continue to support development of our food manufacturers”.
He also used the chance to congratulate women employees - and there are 400 of them - of the plant with the coming International Women’s Day.
Later the same day Tatarstan President visited the Kazan Bakery and Confectionery Factory which produces 60 tonnes of bakery goods a day, including all kinds of bread, cakes, tarts and chak-chak (national Tatar dessert).
Within the investment projects and the state support the factory carries out modernization of its production lines Moreover in the current year 240m roubles will be allocated from the state budget to waive expenses related to production and sales of social bread which will help to keep bread prices.
Speaking to the factory employees after he walked around the production facilities, Minnikhanov said that all measures of supporting the production will be provided in full.
