On February 24, in front of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre during a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in keys to new official vehicles to the specialists of Regional Office of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) in Tatarstan.
Minnikhanov emphasized that Rosselkhoznadzor occupies an important place in the work of the agro-industrial complex. “Today Rosselkhoznadzor solves very important tasks, thereby making a great contribution to strengthening the agricultural industry. I am sure that the new transport will increase the mobility and efficiency of the Ministry’s employees,” he said.
In his turn, Deputy head of Rosselkhoznadzor Konstantin Savenkov thanked the leadership of the republic for supporting the service. The Tatarstan specialists of Rosselkhoznadzor received 10 cross-country vehicles.
The agency controls and supervises in the area of the veterinary medicine, quarantine and plant protection, safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals, ensuring soil fertility, quality and safety of grain and products of its processing.
In 2021, Regional office carried out 2,276 control and supervisory inspections, revealed 300 violations and issued 1,526 decisions on imposing administrative liability, issued 560 orders and 325 warnings against breaking the law.
