Rustam Minnikhanov: Ak Bars players in the Russian national team worthily presented the republic at the 2022 Olympics

On February 20, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov sent a congratulatory telegram to Ak Bars players Dmitry Voronkov and Timur Bilyalov, as well as to the President of Tatarstan Ice Hockey Federation, President of the Ak Bars hockey club, Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov.

Representatives of the Kazan team in the Russian team won silver medals at the Olympics in Beijing.

Our team showed a beautiful game, an honest and uncompromising struggle, a team spirit and a firm will to win. Due to firmness and perseverance, it managed to defeat the strongest rivals - the best ice teams of the world and show an excellent result in the final, making a worthy contribution to the «bank» of achievements of the national hockey school.

Tatarstan fans were especially pleased that the Ak Bars players - Voronkov and Bilalov joined the Russian national team and presented the republic at this prestigious tournament and became the first silver medalists in the history of the Kazan club.
