Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director General of the Monocities Development Fund Irina Makiyeva

On February 16, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chief Managing Partner for Urban Development VEB.RF, Director General of the Monocities Development Fund Irina Makiyeva.

The parties discussed the issues of further development and support of monocities, cooperation to create comfortable environment for people's lives and breakthrough development of the country as a whole in the sphere of industry, infrastructure, non-resource exports, small and medium-sized businesses and urban economy.

There are seven monocities in Tatarstan, such as Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Yelabuga, Zelenodolsk, Mendeleevsk, Chistopol and Kamskiye Polyany.

One of the priorities in the development of monocities is the creation of favourable conditions for attracting investment, ensuring social and economic growth and creating comfortable living conditions for the population.

One of the most recent examples of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Monocities Development Fund is financing the construction of a car access road to the refrigeration equipment company «Smart Machines» in the Nizhnekamsk monocity of the republic.
