On February 14, during his working visit to Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on social and economic development of Nizhnekamsk municipal region.
Before the meeting, he visited the new branch of the Multifunctional centre "My Documents" and got acquainted with the presentation of reconstruction projects of some facilities for the location of local governments there, with the construction project of a cultural centre and the concept of creating a youth space.
In the hall of the administration of the city, the head of the executive committee of the Nizhnekamsk municipal region Ramil Mullin made a presentation and noted that, historically, all administrative buildings are located in the lower part of the city.
Mullin proposed to reconstruct the facilities for further location and concentration of state authorities there in one building (now they are in four different buildings) for the convenience of both employees and citizens, and, it will become more economically feasible to maintain the facility. The head of the executive committee also presented the concept of the future cultural centre for 1.500 seats in Nizhnekamsk.
During the meeting, Minnikhanov proposed to develop a 5-year programme for the socio-economic development of the Nizhnekamsk region. In his opinion, business structures should also be involved in the programme, as the city provides labor resources for large industrial enterprises. “For the republic, Nizhnekamsk is one of the largest industrial centres. The programme should be adopted and reflected in our regional programmes,” Tatarstan President said.
Heads of key ministries of Tatarstan, namely, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Economy of the republic, Regional Ministry of Transport and Roads, Tatarstan Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Employment as well as people’s deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and other officials from Tatarstan took part in the meeting.
