On 5 February, speaking about work of the healthcare system during the pandemic and further measures of fighting COVID-19 at a traditional Saturday meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhnov said that there was a serious incidence growth in the republic. Even though 2 400 out of 4 000 beds for infectious patients in the hospitals are still unoccupied, “the healthcare system is working under immense pressure. There are many those sick among medical workers,” he said and added that the question of stuffing level is under constant monitoring.
Minnikhanov said that by the decision of the regional operational headquarters all outpatient medical facilities will work in weekends and the heads of municipalities are responsible for personal monitoring of the work of policlinics and helping medical worker.
He mentioned high incidence rate among children. |It is necessary to strictly monitor the work of “morning filters” at schools as this system gives very good results. In case of need we send whole classes to self-isolation and currently 2 422 classes are under quarantine, he said.
Minnikhanov reminded that requests for vaccination of children at the age of 12 and higher keep coming and the immunization should be administered only with the consent from parents.
He also asked residents of the republic to follow all preventive measures and to go to specialists in case of the first symptoms of sickness.
