On February 2, during his working visit to Yelabuga municipal region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Head of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service of Russia Svetlana Radionova and Chairman of the Board of SIBUR Holding Dmitry Konov visited production facilities of Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
The industrial potential of the Alabuga SEZ and the points of its further growth were presented. The guests were informed about the companies - residents of the special economic zone, namely 57 companies are registered as residents, and its economic indicators.
Then, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the "Alabuga Polytech" educational centre. Director General of the Alabuga SEZ Timur Shagivaleev informed about the production and educational centre "Alabuga Polytech"
The Alabuga Polytech was established to implement educational programmes in the Alabuga SEZ. It provides practical training for students in laboratory chemical analysis, industrial robotics, electrical engineering, industrial automation, programming in Python, design using BIM technologies, business informatics on the 1C platform, installation and operation of industrial equipment. Alabuga Polytech workshops are equipped with advanced high-tech training equipment, including KUKA industrial robot-manipulators, FESTO equipment for automatic control, mechatronics and pneumatics, SIEMENS programmable controllers, a chemical analysis laboratory, electrical engineering training stands, Fotonim laser cutting machines, 3D- printer Ultimacker and Maestro, which help to get the skills that are necessary in automated production today. Training of students in practical skills is carried out by highly qualified mentors - working engineers from enterprises of SEZ residents.
Shagivaleev emphasized that today the Alabuga Polytech is one of the best training centers in the country, which has already proved its efficiency.
It is planned that in the future the Alabuga Polytechnic" will create a world-class educational infrastructure for the training of working specialties for up to 10,000 students a year. It is expected to attract students from all over the country.
Later on the same day, a meeting on the issues of cooperation between SIBUR Holding and the Alabuga SEZ took place.
