Rustam Minnikhanov and Andrey Turchak take part in a ceremony of handing in a yearly students award “The Tatarstan Student of a Year-2021”

On 25 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Secretary of the General Council of the One Russia party Andrey Turchak took part in a ceremony of handing in a yearly students award “The Student of a Year-2021” held in Kazan.

Speaking at the ceremony Minnikhanov said that everyone was a student some time ago. “We envy your spirits and interest. You are the future of Tatarstan and the whole of the country. And the level of the republic depends on competitiveness of our education system. I am sure we will be among the leaders. We are proud of you!”

Tatarstan President also congratulated everybody with the Day of Russian Students. Welcoming the students taking part in the ceremony, Andrey Turchak said: “The Tatarstan Students of the Year award is related to support of talents, but we should also think about what we can do to support all students. In this respect there are a number of projects including the development of modern university facilities, overhaul of students’ hostels, construction of health and fitness centers”.

During the award ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the award of the “Students of the Year” to Rakhmatdjon Khalilov who is also the winner of the Vladimir Potatin Fund fellowship competition and twice won the All-Russian competition of youth projects held by the Rosmolodezh Youth Affairs Agency.
