Tatarstan President: The One Russia plays a leading role in public and economic development of the republic

On 25 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Secretary of the General Council of the party Andrey Turchak took part in the 34th report-and-election meeting of the regional branch of the One Russia party. 

In his welcoming speech Minnikhanov said that today the One Russia plays a leading role in public and economic development of the republic and enjoys a professional staff, promotes implementation of national projects and regional programs.

He noted that the regional branch was the largest in Russia and in its everyday work the party takes into consideration the demands of the electorate and efficiently participates in law making and representing interests of residents at all levels of power. 

He said that the fact that 1.8m people in Tatarstan cast their votes for the One Russia at the election to the State Duma was the proof of the results of the work of the party. 

During the last years there were a lot of challenges and I would like to express my special gratitude to the members of the regional Parliament and the volunteer headquarters of the party for their help to people and overcoming the consequences of the pandemic, Tatarstan President said.

Minnikhanov reminded that speaking at the party congress last December Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that “ all our policy and common plans are focused on a person “ and Dmitriy Medevedev added that the main objective of the party was to deliver all party commitments stated in its program. 

“These tasks are priority for us and many social projects and programs are being implemented in the republic such as construction of comfortable housing and capital overhaul of multi-apartment buildings, opening schools and kindergartens, new culture and sports facilities, equipment of hospitals, construction of roads and  improvement of parks, gardens and yards”, he said.

In the end of his speech Minnikhanov wished the participants of the meeting new feats and achievements and handed in state awards of Tatarstan. 

In his turn Andrey Turchak said that “Tatarstan is traditionally represented by a large group of members in the State Duma. Due to election campaigns you won we have stable positions not only in the State Council of the republic but in the local self-government bodies as well. Rustam Minnikhanov sets forth large scale tasks of improving lives of Tatarstan residents and for the One Russia it is indisputable priority stated in the federal public program and its regional section”. 

At the meeting the Secretary of the regional branch of the party Farid Mukhametshin reported about work of its political council for five years and stated the tasks for the nearest future.
