Tatarstan Ministry of agriculture: In 2021 the republic exported 271.6m dollars of agricultural products

Speaking at a videoconference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic on 22 January, the Minister of Agriculture of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported about implementation of national agricultural business projects. Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin also took part in the meeting.

Zyabbarov said that currently the Ministry is implementing two national projects – Small and Medium size Entrepreneurship and Support of individual Entrepreneurship Initiative and International Cooperation and Export. He clarified that support to farmers and cooperatives was rendered within the regional project of “Acceleration of SMEs” with the total financing of 345m roubles in 2021. The Ministry has fulfilled all its KPIs in supporting farmers and cooperatives by 131%, creating new jobs by 119% and involving individual farmers in to cooperatives by 115%. The project is financed in three main directions the first of them being the AgroStartup project grants, and already 60 farmers won 161m of grants in 2021, the Minister said.

The second direction was subsidies to agricultural consumers’ cooperatives for partial reimbursement of their expenses which amounted to180m roubles given to 41 cooperatives.

And the third direction was allocating of 3.7m roubles to the co-financing of the Center  of Competences for Development of Agricultural Cooperation in the republic” which renders information and consultancy services to small farms, Zyabbarov added.

He went on saying that it is planned to allocated 372.2m roubles on implementation of the regional project in 2022 with 301.4 m roubles coming from the federal budget.

In conclusion, Zyabbarov said that the export of agricultural products of Tatarstan amounted to 271.6m dollars in 2021 and the task for 2022 is to bring the export up to 330m dollars.
