Rustam Minnikhanov meets Valentina Matviyenko in Kazan

On 20 January at his meeting with the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, who came to Kazan to personally congratulate the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaymiyev with his 85-th birthday, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Federation Council for joint fruitful work and support of the regional initiatives. In particular, he said he was very grateful to Valentina Matviyenko for holding the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Federation Council. “After our presentation you have given protocol errands and this gave substantial support to our work”, he said. 

When discussing the COVID-19 situation in the republic, the Tatarstan President said ”that the region is fully provided with medications, ALV devices, oxygen and has a sufficient reserve of infectious beds in hospitals”. He also appraised the help from the Federal COVID Operational Headquarters  by the Russian Health Ministry.
