Rustam Minnikhanov holds a general meeting of members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia

On January 13, on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum in Moscow, Tatarstan President, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) Rustam Minnikhanov held a general meeting of AIRR members.

In opening the general meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that such meetings not only make it possible to sum up the results of the work on the implementation of the tasks set by Russian Government, but also to discuss key issues of concern to the regions and to jointly seek solutions.

Russian Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Fayzullin, who also took part in the meeting, said that preparations for the meeting of the State Council Commission on Construction, Housing and Utilities and the Urban Environment are underway.

“We are waiting for real proposals from regions for improvement of the system,” Fayzullin addressed the representatives of the AIRR member regions.

During the discussion, representatives of the regions asked about the possibility of building individual housing construction under the emergency housing resettlement programme. They also emphasized the importance of increasing the base salary of specialists at construction sites.

Members of the Council of the AIRR were elected at the meeting, and the annual report on the results of work for the previous period was heard and approved.
