On June 2 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, accompanied by Mayor of West Kazakhstan region Nurlan Nogaev, visited the Gabdulla Tukay monument, museum of an outstanding Tatar poet and mosque during his visit to Kazakhstan Republic.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Nurlan Nogaev laid flowers to the monument of Kazakhstan poet Abai Kunanbayev and went to the Gabdulla Tukay monument afterwards.

To the point, Tukay lived in Uralsk for 12 years. During that period he became the outstanding poet in the Russian Empire, having written 50 poems, including his famous ones “Shurale” and “Par at”.

Rustam Minnikhanov shared his impressions with journalists, saying that the city is very interesting and unique, and he was very glad that the memory about outstanding poets Tukay and Abai was kept there.

Later on the same day Tatarstan President went to the memorial museum of Gabdulla Tukay and the Red Mosque, the oldest one in Uralsk.
