On December 14, at their meeting in St. Petersburg, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Vitaly Markelov discussed the results of joint work and further prospects for cooperation.
During the period from 2000 to 2021, natural gas consumption in Tatarstan has grown significantly. At the end of 2021, consumption is expected at the level of 18.0 billion cubic meters. For the subsequent period (until 2030), the main growth in consumption will be associated with the development of the Kama industrial cluster, since the largest production facilities are located in Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny and Yelabuga sites. In general, taking into account all needs, consumption of up to 33.0 billion cubic meters is projected by 2030.
Currently, the total number of gasified apartments and individual houses in the country has exceeded 1.5 million. On average, 19,000 apartments and households are gasified annually.
In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on free gasification of houses (“additional gasification”) located near intra-settlement gas pipelines, a preliminary assessment of the number of such households was carried out in Tatarstan. As of August 2021, there are 18.2 thousand of them in 903 settlements.
As for the development of the NGV market, there are currently 38 CNG filling compressor stations in Tatarstan. By the end of 2021, another 6 CNG filling stations are expected to be put into operation.
Within the framework of the state program, in the period from 2010 to 2021, 10,790 units of equipment were converted and purchased.
In addition, projects are currently being implemented in 3 complexes for the liquefaction of natural gas: in Tyulyachinsky, Vysokogorsky regions, as well as in the Alabuga SEZ.
