Aleksey Pesoshin: The incidence of Covid-19 among people over 60 years old remains at a very high level

27.11.2021

On November 27, at a meeting  held by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin at the Government House of the republic, measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 were discussed.

Pesoshin noted that the growth rate of new cases of Covid-19 in the republic is slightly decreasing, but the situation remains tense. The incidence among people over 60 years old remains at a very high level.

Since November 22, there has been a requirement in the republic, according to which residents over 18 years old can use public transport only if they have a QR code or a medical exemption. Also, the transport cards of citizens over 60 years old who do not have a QR code or a medical exemption from the vaccine are temporarily blocked.

Pesoshin reminded that on November 26, amendments were made to the decree, according to which citizens who received the first dose of a two-dose vaccine or were vaccinated with a one-dose Covid-19 vaccine, as well as servicemen vaccinated against Covid-19, are allowed to use public transport. They will be able to use special “regional” QR codes for 24 days until they are fully vaccinated or receive a QR code on the portal of public services.

The Prime Minister of republic noted that all conditions have been created for those who want to be vaccinated. There are 175 vaccination points in the republic, two of which are open around the clock. As many as 2 million 14 thousand citizens of the republic have had a first vaccine dose.

The Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) and law enforcement agencies continue their work to verify compliance with anti-epidemic and preventive measures in the republic.
