Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the Tatarstan - Kyrgyzstan business forum

On November 19, during his working visit to Kyrgyzstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Tatarstan - Kyrgyzstan business forum held in Bishkek.

Welcoming the participants of the Forum, Minnikhanov said: “I would like to express my gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov for the attention and support given to the development of interregional cooperation.

Among the participants of the forum are heads of a number of ministries and departments, leading enterprises of Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan have an intergovernmental agreement signed in December 2017. There is a direct flight, namely one flight per week to Bishkek.

At the end of 2020, the trade turnover between two republics amounted to 41 million US dollars. According to Tatarstan President, to increase this indicator, it is necessary to work more actively on the issues of increasing the volume and range of mutual supplies of goods and services. In particular, there is an interest in expanding cooperation in the sphere of mechanical engineering, supplies of petrochemical products to Kyrgyzstan, agricultural machinery, compressor and refrigeration equipment, car tires, household chemical goods, halal products, medical products, pharmaceutical products and many others.
