On November 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Moscow to take part in the 9th Forum "Composites without Borders" held in two formats - face-to-face (offline participation) in the Skolkovo Technopark, and online participation at the Innoprom Online.
The forum is held with the support of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade in partnership with the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition. Rosatom is a partner of the forum’s business programme and a general sponsor of an interregional cluster “Composites without Borders”.
The programme includes panel discussions on the following topics: “Composites Industry Development Strategy 2035”, “Light wings: how the state can help the Russian composites market take off”, “Composites — materials, developments, implementation, efficiency”, “Composites — a current trend in shipbuilding”, “New opportunities for composites in civil engineering”.
Minnikhanov took part in a plenary session “Composites Industry Development Strategy 2035”, moderated by Director General UMATEX Group (Rosatom) Alexander Tyunin.
Speaking at the session, Director General of Rosatom State Corporation Aleksey Likhachev emphasized that the compositions became a topic of global cooperation with Tatarstan.
During the meeting, Tyunin said that many industrial enterprises, special economic zones, universities and technoparks on the development of the composite industry are located in three federal entities - Tatarstan, Moscow and Saratov regions. Last year, the cluster also included Ulyanovsk and Tula regions. The most outstanding in the country for the development of both production and consumption of composites is Tatarstan, the moderator emphasized.
Tatarstan President emphasized that all projects related to the production of composites are implemented with the support of the Rosatom. According to him, Tatarstan is always looking for new rooms for the development of production.
“Our republic is oil, petrochemical, and, of course, the development of the region takes place under the programme for the development of the petrochemical complex. Today, the fifth programme is being implemented. The main task is to increase the depth of hydrocarbon processing and to obtain new materials. These are functional materials - the production of new and composite materials, super-structural plastics, functional additives,” Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President also assured that the republic will continue to support and be involved in the development of all projects related to the promotion of composites.
