Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the opening ceremony of the CSTO peacekeeping military exercise «Enduring Brotherhood – 2021»

On November 8, at the testing ground of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Commander of the Central Military Region, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, CSTO Chief of Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov took part in an opening ceremony of a joint exercise of the collective peace-keeping forces of the the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) «Enduring Brotherhood – 2021».

Minnikhanov thanked Russian Ministry of Defense for choosing Tatarstan as a venue for the exercise

Lapin emphasized that during the forthcoming exercise soldiers would gradually work out the issues of planning and conducting a peacekeeping operation upon experience, gained by the military personnel of the Central Military Region in the Syrian Arab Republic and Nagorny Karabakh.

After the ceremony, Minnikhanov and Lapin looked around the control headquarters and the command post of the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces deployed at the training ground.

A total of about 1,800 people will take part in the exercise to last from November 8 till November 12.
