More than half of them have found support at the Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the Volga Federal District”, Mikhail Babich said.
The most important issues concern the elimination of contradictions in federal law, municipal law-making optimization, streamlining the distribution of authority, strengthening the fight against corruption and etc.
Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin said that it was a truly productive and effective meeting.
“There was a specific discussion on the future development of the local government in the Volga Federal District and the country as a whole. Most of the proposals voiced here deserve serious consideration in the relevant structures of the State Duma and the Federation Council. It is important to make maximum use of the potential of the Association of Legislators of the Volga Federal District and municipal councils, so that our joint initiatives could help to enhance federal legislation and eliminate contradictions and gaps,” Farid Mukhametshin said.
