On May 20 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with President of Russian Track and Field Athletics Federation Valentin Balakhnichev. Minister of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Rafis Burganov, Head of Universiade Directorate Vladimir Leonov, President of Tatarstan Track and Field Athletics Federation Khafiz Salikhov took part in the meeting.

Valentin Balakhnichev said that Tatarstan demonstrates the example of modern approach to organisation of big competitions.

Training of Russian track and field athletics student team for forthcoming Universiade in Kazan was discussed at the meeting.
