On May 16 during his trip to Tatarstan Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Esimov accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Universiade Village and Tennis Academy.

The laundry, medical room, Internet room, and sleeping rooms for athletes were shown to the guests in Universiade Village. Mayor of Universiade Village made presentation of 27th World Summer Student Games. Akhmetzhan Esimov, in his turn, left a note in a book of honoured guests.

Later on the same day the excursion continued in Kazan Tennis Academy, one of the main Universiade objects.
