On August 19, during his working visit to Nur-Sultan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Tatarstan enterprises have great interest in expanding trade, economic and investment ties in the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as in developing common transport and logistics potential.

According to the results of last year, the Tatarstan-Kazakhstan trade turnover exceeded 630 million US dollars. The growth was 14 per cent. Tatarstan enterprises supply to Kazakhstan fuel, oil and products of their distillation, plastics, equipment and mechanical devices, means of land transport, etc. In turn, the main imports are copper and its products, electrical machinery and equipment, and metal products.
