Rustam Minnikhanov and Leonid Melamed participated in work of interdepartmental work group on financing of nanoindustry in Tatarstan.

The Head of RT government Rustam Minnikhanov held the meeting in RT Cabinet with general director of state corporation “Russian Corporation of nanotechnologies” (“Rosnanotech”) Leonid Melamed.

They spoke about cooperation of RT and “Rosnanotech” Corporation in the sphere of nanoindustry development.

Later on RT Prime Minister and the head of “Rosnanotech” took part in work of interdepartmental work group on financing of nanoindustry in Tatarstan.
Officials of republic institutes, RT Academy of Sciences, businessmen and technical specialists also were at the meeting.

While opening the meeting, RT Prime Minister reminded that today Russian government pays great attention to nanoindustry development – federal target program with determined budget is accepted, State Corporation is based. In its turn Tatarstan also plans to participate in nanotechnologies development, having serious intellectual potential and scientific-research base for this.

The Head of “Rosnanotech” Leonid Melamed showed the presentation of state corporation to the members of interdepartmental work group.

“Russian Corporation of nanotechnologies” was based in 2007 for realization of government politics in the sphere of nanotechnologies. Solving this task, corporation presents itself as co-investor in nanotechnological projects with sufficient economic and social potential. Finance participation in corporation at early stages of projects decrease the risks of its partners – private investors.

According to the words of Leonid Melamed in the nearest 6 years it’s expected that the volume of goods market with the usage of nanotechnologies will make 3 trillion RUR, and annually the market will have the growth of 17 %.

The task for Russia is to win the share at world market by 2015 (3 %).

Leonid Melamed told that still Russia cannot boast of production with the use of nanotechnologies in mass order, but the aim is to be among countries-world leaders of nanoindustry.

According to his words, today the leaders of this sphere are USA, Japan, South Korea, and Germany.

Mr. Melamed thinks that in Russia the volume of benefits that was invested by the government into “Rosnanotech” corporation is unique and unprecedented. He underlined that today we have to arm businessmen with the overview of what will be happening in the market in a few years. State Corporation will realize all projects within nanoindustry with attraction of private capital.

Complex project of nanoindustry development in Tatarstan was presented by First RT Vice-premier Boris Pavlov.

Today RT President Mintimer Shaimiev received general director of state corporation “Russian Corporation of nanotechnologies”. It’s expected that during the meeting agreement on cooperation in the sphere of nanotechnologies and nanoindustry development will be signed between RT and state corporation “Russian Corporation of nanotechnologies” (the expiration date is 31, December of 2015).
