Tatarstan President meets head of Gagauzia Irina Vlakh

On July 29, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Head of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (the Republic of Moldova) Irina Vlakh, who arrived in the republic to take part in the events of the 12th International Economic Summit «Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021».

Minnikhanov emphasized that in recent years, cooperation between Tatarstan and Gagauzia is actively developing. A plan of joint measures for 2019-2021 was signed, and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry are actively involved in this work.

Tatarstan is ready to supply Gagauzia with products of machine-building enterprises, chemical and petrochemical goods. Tatarstan President also identified the agro-industrial complex, medicine and pharmaceuticals, education, culture and tourism as the promising areas for cooperation. Minnikhanov thanked the delegation of Gagauzia for their attention to Tatarstan and participation in KazanSummit - 2021. “We are ready for further development of cooperation,” he said.
