On the sidelines of KazanSummit-2021, Rustam Minnikhanov meets ambassadors of OIC Member States

On July 28, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, on the sidelines of the 12th International economic summit “Russia — Islamic world: KazanSummit 2021”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met the ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIS) Member States.

Minnikhanov thanked the ambassadors for their participation in KazanSummit. “Each year the event becomes more prestigious and the geography of its participants expands. We are grateful to you for your support of our forum”, he addressed the meeting participants.

Tatarstan President emphasized that cooperation with the Islamic world is one of the most important vectors of foreign policy for multinational and multi-confessional Russia.

He also said that one of the most efficient mechanisms for joint work with the Muslim world is the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, which Tatarstan President has been heading since 2014.

Among the main tasks of the Group are the every possible assistance to the further rapprochement of Russia with the Islamic world, the establishment of economic cooperation and the expansion of interaction between youth and public organizations. The work on the promotion of the traditional values of the Muslim peoples of Russia is underway.

Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan is interested in further strengthening cooperation with the OIC countries. “We are interested in supplying trucks, helicopters, cargo-passenger ships, petrochemicals, oil and gas equipment, compressors, food and agricultural products. We invite your companies to participate in investment projects of our republic ", Tatarstan President said.

“We are open for cooperation and will be happy to work on joint mutually beneficial projects with companies from your countries,” he said.
