Rustam Minnikhanov meets participants of the conference “Oncology of the 21st century. Innovations in medical science in practical health care”

On July 8, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and participants of the conference “Oncology of the 21st century. Innovations in medical science in practical health care” discussed the issues of strengthening the health care system and combating malignant neoplasms.

The meeting participants emphasized that the increase in the incidence of malignant neoplasms is a nationwide problem.

Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan oncologists actively cooperate with colleagues from leading institutions in Russia and abroad, which contributes to further progress of the service. The region attaches great importance to the development of the oncological service and strengthening its material and technical base.

Tatarstan President thanked the participants of the conference for accepting the invitation and coming to the event, which took place in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Oncological Service of Tatarstan. Tatarstan Minister of Health Marat Sadykov and Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leila Fazleeva also took part in the meeting.
