Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Mustafa Varank

On June 24, during his working visit to Ankara, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Technology in the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Varank.

“Tatarstan in the Russian Federation is very dear to our heart. Based on our cultural and historical ties, we need to strengthen economic contacts. We can mutually increase investment in our economies,” Turkish Minister said.

Minnikhanov said that Turkey is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. In 2020, the trade turnover exceeded 360 million US dollars.

“We see great potential for cooperation between our Innopolis Special Economic Zone and your IT Valley. In addition, our leading companies operating in the petrochemical and automotive sectors are interested in the implementation of joint projects in Turkey,” Tatarstan President added.
