OJSC “Tatneft” Committee of Directors discussed superviscous oil extraction and the construction of petrochemical plants and petroleum refineries complex

OJSC “Tatneft” regular Committee of Directors meeting chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republiic of Tatarstan, Chairman of OJSC “Tataneft” Committee of Directors, took place today in Almetyevsk.

The Committe of Directors discussed the results of oil produsing company budget execution for the first half of 2008. They also approved the August budget.

The process of superviscous oil deposits development programme implementing was also discussed at the meeting. On June 2008 on the balance of OJSC “Tatneft” was the reserves of 21 superviscous oil deposits with 118 billion tonnes of reserved oil and 41,5 billion tonnes of mineable resources.

The bitumen daily flow of the first couple of boreholes in June maked up 15,4 tonnes, second couple – 20 tonnes. Besides, the extraction of superviscous oil from the third couple of boreholes was started on June, 11.

The results gained were positively estimated by the Committe of Directors. The Committe entrusted to the executive board of the company to continue the work in concordance with the programme approved.
