On May 12, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Aleksandr Bastrykin together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and other officials visited the Kazan gymnasium 175 and looked around the premises where, on May 11, the tragedy occurred - 9 people were shot, including 7 schoolchildren, and over 20 others were injured.
Bastrykin and Minnikhanov discussed the consequences of tragic events in the educational institution of the city. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia expressed condolences on the tragedy to Tatarstan President and laid flowers at the spontaneous memorial at the Kazan gymnasium 175.
Bastrykin is scheduled to hold an operational meeting with subordinates and representatives of all law enforcement agencies in the region and relevant ministries and departments. The Chairman said that all the circumstances and reasons leading to the terrible tragedy will be determined.
