Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Aleksandr Bastrykin arrives in Kazan

On May 12, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Aleksandr Bastrykin arrived in Kazan and was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.

Bastrykin paid a working visit because of the criminal case of murder at the gymnasium 175, where nine people were shot, seven of them were schoolchildren.

May 12 declared a day of mourning in Tatarstan. Classes were cancelled in all schools in Kazan.
