Rustam Minnikhanov has a working meeting with Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov

On April 13, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov. The parties discussed issues of socio-economic development of the region, namely, the development of investment activities in the region at Alabuga and Innopolis Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and infrastructure support for investment projects. During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of support for the development of agglomerations and single-industry towns, and issues of territorial planning.

Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of federal support instruments in stimulating investment activity in the region, in particular the subsidy mechanism for the creation and modernization of the infrastructure of special economic zones, industrial parks and technology parks and also the possibility of infrastructural support for new investment projects at the expense of released funds after the restructuring of budget loans.

To date, Tatarstan Government announced 16 investment projects, including 5 projects in the Innopolis SEZ and 1 new project in the Alabuga SEZ, which are planned to be considered at the next meeting of the headquarters of the Government Commission for Regional Development.
