Rustam Minnikhanov meets members of the talent pool of the Republic of Tatarstan

On March 28, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met members of the talent pool of the republic. Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the meeting.

At the meeting, the talent pool members defended their projects. In total, they presented 20 projects that are relevant and in demand for the region in the field of transport infrastructure, education and youth policy, in the implementation of social policy, digitalization and the IT industry. Moreover, many proposals related to the development of the real sector of the economy, improving the quality of interaction with citizens, as well as combating corruption were made.

All the projects were developed with the guidance of facilitators, among which are Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin and others.

Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov reminded that the talent pool of the President of Tatarstan has been forming in the republic for 7 years already. Active and proactive managers from various sectors of the economy are selected to the pool.

Minnikhanov stressed that at the federal level, special attention is paid to identifying experienced management personnel. “We always take into account the results of the Leaders of Russia competition, and this time 7 finalists became our talent pool members,” he said.

The pool members studied, trained, exchanged experiences and prepared projects with the guidance of their facilitators during the year. Despite the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, in 2020, 242 people took part in the selection to the talent pool of Tatarstan President (in 2019 their number made 225 people). Moreover, 7 finalists of the Leaders of Russia national management competition from Tatarstan expressed a desire to become the talent pool members, as a result the number of the talent pool members was increased to 22 people this year.
