Rustam Minnikhanov attends the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in the UAE

On February 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived at the IDEX 2021 International Defence Exhibition and Conference, which opened in Abu Dhabi (UAE) today.

The IDEX is one of the most representative exhibitions of arms and weapons in the world. Every two years, customers and manufacturers of military weapons, military equipment, security and safety systems gather there. The Russian Federation has its stand at the exhibition. Rosoboronexport traditionally acts as the organizer of the exposition.

Tatarstan President is traditionally among the guests of honour. Minnikhanov visited the Russian stand, which is represented by such companies as Rostec State Corporation, Rosoboronexport, Almaz-Antey Concern, Kalashnikov Concern, Military Industrial Company, Roselectronika, Shvabe Holding, Techmash Concern, Kazan Gunpowder Plant, Radiozavod, Proekt-tekhnika Corporation, Rubin Research and Production Enterprise and number of others. The enterprises of Tatarstan took part in the exhibition for the first time in 1995.

On the sidelines of the IDEX 2021, Tatarstan President had a meeting with Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan Pulat Bobozhonov. Director General of KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin also took part in the talks. The parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan through the automaker.
