Tatarstan President holds a meeting on social and economic development of Nizhnekamsk region

On February 19, during his working visit to Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on social and economic development of Nizhnekamsk municipal region of the republic.

Speaking at the meeting, Tatarstan President noted that Nizhnekamsk region is one of the leading municipalities of Tatarstan, implementing large investment projects, developing infrastructure for business, carrying out a large amount of work under targeted projects. At the same time, he drew attention to the need to develop the agro-industrial complex, to strengthen the demographic situation, as well as to resolve the staffing issues in medical facilities.

“There are issues that require systemic solutions. We need to look into the problems existing in this territory and available resources to deal with them,” Tatarstan President stressed.

Then, representatives of the ministries of the republic reported on the current situation in the Nizhnekamsk region in the field of economy, agriculture, construction, road facilities, health care, education, ecology and the labour market.
