Rustam Minnikhanov visits Shayan TV children's TV channel

On February 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Shayan TV channel – the first children's TV channel in the Tatar language with 24 hours broadcasting aimed at the popularization of the native language, national culture and the encouragement of children's interest in learning the Tatar language.

During the visit, Tatarstan President got acquainted with the equipment of the TV channel and talked to its young TV presenters. He also looked around the office of the school of television bloggers, the control studio of Shayan TV broadcasting, the shooting area of Shayan’s projects.

Presenters of the Shayan Balalar programme interviewed Tatarstan President and asked him what cartoons Minnikhanov liked to watch in childhood, and asked other questions. They spoke Tatar. Director General of the Novy Vek TV and Radio Company (TNV) Ilshat Aminov and Head of Tatmedia Regional Agency for Press and Mass Communications Aydar Salimgaraev took part in the meeting.
