On February 8, during his working visit to Agryz, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the horse breeding farm of the Salikhov family.
Farmers established a horse breeding farm in 2018. Today there are about 50 horses. In addition to heavy draft breeds, the farm also breeds English thoroughbred horses, which annually participate in regional races.
Farmers organized the sale of eco products from horse meat according to the tolling scheme. The products are sold both in Tatarstan and Udmurtia. The plans are to launch the sale of horse meat products on Internet websites.
Minnikhanov urged the head of Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food to provide support to the farm, and offered farmers to actively use the possibilities of consumer cooperation. The Salikhovs are also developing ecotourism. The head of the farm informed Tatarstan President that the guests can ride horses and relax in a special yurt, which was brought from Kazakhstan. The farm also houses over 250 sheep of various breeds.
