Tatarstan President holds a general meeting of members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia in Moscow

On January 15, on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum 2021 in Moscow, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held an annual general meeting of members of the Association.

Representatives of the Association summed up the results of the organization's activities for 2020. It was noted that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the AIRR prepared and sent a number of proposals to the federal government to overcome the economic consequences of the spread of coronavirus.

Moreover, the Association took an active part in the work of the Government Commission for Regional Development in the Russian Federation and participated in organizing and conducting strategic sessions for the regions - members of the AIRR. The Association also launched a special project to collect, exchange and disseminate best practices and management decisions made by the constituent entities of the Russian Federation - members of the AIRR to counter the spread of coronavirus infection.

Work was also done in such areas as improving the tools for attracting investors to the constituent entities of Russia, the evaluation of projects claiming federal support, and the holding of educational seminars, meetings and expert sessions for the regions - members of the AIRR via videoconferencing.

The participants approved the main organizational issues and documents related to the work of the AIRR.

In conclusion, by a unanimous decision of heads of the regions - members of the AIRR Minnikhanov was re-elected as Chairman of the Council of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin and Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Irek Fayzullin took part in the meeting.
