Rustam Minnikhanov assesses the potential of Ak Bars Bank at a meeting of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development

On December 28, in the technopark in the sphere of high technologies IT-park, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a regular meeting of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development, where digital solutions of Ak Bars Bank were introduced.

Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized the contribution of Ak Bars Bank as a financial and technological partner of Tatarstan and evaluated its new developments.

“Ak Bars Bank was one of the first to join the blockchain platform of the Federal Tax Service. Its products win prizes, and foreign banks are also interested in its solutions and technologies”, Minnikhanov said.

He also emphasized that during the pandemic, the Bank managed to support the population and affected companies by contributing to the creation of digital service ecosystem, thereby avoiding the spread of the coronavirus.

Chairman of the Board of Ak Bars Bank Zufar Garaev informed about the bank's projects and achievements in the sphere of digital transformation.

“The Bank offers digital solutions for individuals and businesses in the areas of financial management, investment, educational services, tourism, health, and insurance. Our core products are operating and new applications: Ak Bars Online, Education Map, Transport Card, mobile applications Ak Bars Med, Ak Bars Trade and others,” Garaev said.

Besides Ak Bars Bank, the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development includes Road Traffic Safety State Institution, Tattelekom Telecommunication Company, Innostage Company, Bars Group Company, Digital Technology Centre of the Institute of Applied Research of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, Innopolis Special Economic Zone, ICL Company, Tatneft Oil Company, Electronic Document Management Systems and Information Project Management Company.

At the meeting of the Association, Tatarstan President was introduced a number of digital services developed by Ak Bars Bank, namely, Ak Bars Med mobile application helping to use the services of compulsory and voluntary medical insurance, receive telemedicine advice, make an appointment with a doctor and study a medical record, and Education Card 2.0 project intended for parents of schoolchildren, helping to control the educational process of a child, to pay for the nutrition of schoolchildren and transportation by card.

Minnikhanov also looked around the exhibition of digital projects, including Ak Bars Bank's own project - a conductorless solution for Transport Card with video analytics in Face2. Tatarstan President also got acquainted with GeСo food delivery service for restaurants, implemented by OpenHub in partnership with Ak Bars Bank. The solution became the winner in the specialized food tech accelerator and received targeted funding from the bank.
