Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov solemnly launches four new Natural Gas Vehicle infrastructural facilities at once

On December 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn ceremony of launching four new gas filling infrastructure facilities in Tatarstan.

"I would like to congratulate everyone that on the eve of the new year, we are launching four more new gas filling stations in the republic. We will have 28 of them in our republic. And despite the difficulties of the economy with the pandemic, the consumption of gas and gas motor fuel is growing. I would like to thank the Gazprom energy company and its subdivision - Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo for the implementation of these projects," - Minnikhanov said.

He continued: "The leadership of the Gazprom always understands all our needs.

The number of vehicles running on gas engine fuel will also grow. Due to federal support, we are encouraging the purchase of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV). Besides, we have an entire programme for converting equipment to NGV fuel. I am sure that everything is being done for the benefit of our ecology".

Minnikhanov also emphasized that the use of NGV fuel is also economically feasible.

Director General of Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo Timur Soin emphasized that there is a growing trend in the use of NGV fuel in Russia.

The solemn online ceremony of launching NGV filling stations in Nurlat, Aktanysh and Menzelinsk regions took place.
