Tatarstan President visits a plant for the production of expansion joints in Naberezhnye Chelny

On December 14, during his working visit to Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the work of the Hortum plant for the production of expansion joints.

A bellows expansion joint is a flexible pipe joint designed to safely compensate for changes in the dimensions of steel pipe systems and gas ducts. The products are widely used in various branches of industry, including power engineering, petrochemical, chemical spheres and utilities.

Minnikhanov looked around the production line equipped with the latest modern equipment and was demonstrated the samples of products.

Director of the Hortum Plant Airat Kharisov said that the expansion joints are entirely made of domestic components. Our own design department allows us to develop non-standard expansion joints, he went on to say.

Minnikhanov noted the high level of organization of production process and proposed to master new areas. “You have reached the world level in producing expansion joints. This is a modern high-tech factory. You need to move on, develop new lines,” Tatarstan President said.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelnov Nail Magdeev accompanied Tatarstan President during his trip.
