On November 27, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Olga Golodets welcomed participants of the Digital Healthcare Trends online conference for representatives of the healthcare sector of the republic.
Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan strives to actively introduce digital medicine technologies in order to provide all citizens of the republic with access to quality services and medical care, regardless of where they live.
“Today's technologies are fundamentally changing the system, allowing us to visit facilities that are located at the periphery, to provide our patient with the same consultation, the same level and quality that is available in central medical facilities,” Tatarstan President noted.
The conference in Kazan discussed the future of digital medicine: how artificial intelligence can help doctors, what laws are needed to make telemedicine more effective.
“All countries are switching to online services. Where should the online consultation end and where is the doctor's place? What routine operations should the healthcare system be eleminated from? Together with you, we must decide and make a major breakthrough. This is the only way we can help the population in such a difficult period,” Golodets noted in her turn.
Then Minnikhanov and Golodets awarded the best Tatarstan doctors for their active participation in the implementation of projects in the field of digitalization of medical services.
Also at the conference, Chairman of the Volgo-Vyatka Bank of Sberbank Pyotr Koltypin, and Rector of the Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the field of education and healthcare.
