Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development

On November 16, at the IT Park in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development.

The first meeting of the Association was held on August 19. The Association brought together government authorities, leading enterprises and IT companies, representatives of science and public organizations.

Moreover, on September 21-24, the Association successfully held the first Kazan Digital Week international online forum.

Speaking at today's event, Minnikhanov reminded that the restrictions caused by the pandemic have become a catalyst for the development of digital products.

Thus, logistics centres of the Ozone and Wildberries companies were opened in Tatarstan, and the Kazan Express electronic marketplace was launched.

“In the current situation, it is important for enterprises to develop digitalization strategies, to make more active use of e-commerce,” Minnikhanov said. “We must learn to apply the experience of both world and local IT companies.”

He also stressed that work done as part of the Association makes it possible to continue the dialogue on the digital transformation of Tatarstan. There is an opportunity to use effective solutions implemented by companies - members of the Association.

Minnikhanov said that the main thing for the digital industry is skilled personnel. “It is possible to create conditions, but if there are no personnel, then it is useless. Specialists having skills and knowledge of the best digital practices should be involved in work,” he said.

Chairman of the Council of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development Rifkat Minnikhanov made an opening speech at the meeting.

Reports on topics that are of interest to a wide range of participants in the digital transformation of industry business processes were made at the meeting.

Director General of Tattelecom Telecommunication Company Ayrat Nurutdinov told the meeting about the ways of transformation of the enterprise - about the practice of the corporate analytical centre.

First Deputy Director of General Tattelecom Company Rais Khisamov made a report dedicated to the establishment of an internal development centre: from an idea to existing products. (Own resource management platform "Stream" and IP intercom with video surveillance and control via a smartphone).

A report on cooperation between enterprises of Tatarstan in the implementation of projects of the Digital Economy national programme was also made.
