The awarding ceremony “Woman of the year. Man of the year. Women’s view” was held in Korston on March, 6. The republican contest was organised by regional public organisation “Tatarstan women” and Tatarstan Federation of Labour Unions under the auspices of Tatarstan President for the 16th time. Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin held the awarding ceremony.

The contest was held by 10 nominations: “Woman-business lady”, “My fortune is my profession”, “Woman-leader and public figure”, “Woman-culture and spirituality”, “Woman-mother”, “Woman-example of the year”, “Heroine of the third age”, “Man-noble heart”, “Man-leader”, and “Woman-scientist”.

Farid Mukhametshin addressed the audience with welcoming speech:
“The spring has come, the sun is shining bright. It means we are celebrating a traditional, dearest holiday devoted to women – the 8th of March. On behalf of all men, republican authorities, President of Tatarstan let me congratulate you on this holiday and wish health, happiness and wellbeing!”

Farid Mukhametshin addressed with special words of gratitude to veterans of labour and homefront workers.
“Our mothers and grandmothers gave us life, taught us native language. We wish them strong health, deep respect of next generations, children and grandchildren. Stay with us for a long long time!”

He continued: “I would like to thank our wives for giving their warmth to our children. I am sure that men achieve success in life due women. Dear women, be happy and beloved! Let everybody around you love, respect and take care for you.”
