Tatarstan talented veterans can show their talents at the festival of amateur performers “Balkysh”. First session of the organizing commission was held today in Kazan.

The idea about holding this festival belongs to the Republican public organization of veterans that once addressed to President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with request to support the idea of older generation. The project was supported by the President.

Farid Mukhametshin said: “Key task that we set last year was to involve as many veterans for participation as possible, to reveal amateur talents, and contribute to preservation of cultural and national traditions of republican nations. We fulfilled this task. President of Tatarstan supported our idea and implementation of the project continued.”

Farid Mukhametshin reminded that construction of cultural institutions in rural areas is underway. Construction works are funded at the expense of the republican budget.

Chairman of the Republican public organization of veterans Khabir Ishtiryakov told about preparation for the festival. The festival will consist of three stages: contests on municipal level under the auspices of local veteran organisations, zonal stage, and gala concert in Kazan.

Khabir Ishtiryakov expressed special gratitude to Chairman of State Council for participation in organisation of the festival notwithstanding his busy schedule. He said that partnership relations established with Ministry of culture, Ministry of labour, employment and social services, and G.Tukay State Philharmonic Hall would help implementing the project.
